New student registration for the following school year begins in early February.
For Preschool Tiny Tots and Pre-K: Students who meet the eligibility requirements may apply to the school when the parent submits:
- A completed Application Form
- Current immunization records
- Completed State Licensing Forms
- A copy of the birth certificate
- Non-refundable Registration Fee* (This fee covers school supplies, registration materials, and school insurance for the school year.)
Applications will not be considered until all paperwork has been submitted. Enrollment acceptance is determined upon review of the application. Admission letters will be mailed to candidates who complete the application process. Priority consideration is given to current Red Hill Lutheran Church and School families, current student siblings, and alumni of Red Hill Lutheran School. Depending on class size and enrollment demand for the grade level, there may be a time limit for paperwork.
There is a maximum number of students in each classroom as determined by state licensure requirements pertaining to classroom size and student-teacher ratio. The maximum ratio is twelve students to one teacher. A Waiting List will be created for registered applicants beyond the maximum. Students with currently enrolled siblings at Red Hill Lutheran School and Red Hill Lutheran Church members automatically move to the top of the Waiting List. The Registration Fee for applicants on the Waiting List will not be processed until parents have been notified that their child has been placed on the current enrollment list.
For Kindergarten through Grade 8: Students meeting all enrollment eligibility requirements may apply to the school when the parent submits:
- A Completed Application
- Non-refundable Application Fee of $25 and Registration Fee* (see Fee & Tuition Schedule under Registration Forms)
- One academic reference (only for grades 6-8)
- Previous report card(s)
- Standardized Achievement Test Results
- Copy of current immunization record
- Copy of birth certificate
Only complete applications submitted with all the required documents will be considered.
Enrollment acceptance will be determined upon review of the application, references, and Entrance Evaluation results. Priority registration will be given to current Red Hill Lutheran Church and School families, current student siblings, and Red Hill Lutheran School alumni.
*Should the student not be accepted to the school, a refund of the Registration Fee will be issued to the parents within four weeks; the Application Fee is non-refundable. However, should the student be accepted to the school, and the parent declines to continue with the enrollment process, the Registration Fee is non-refundable. In order to maintain enrollment eligibility status, ALL paperwork must be complete, all fees must be paid, and all school accounts must remain current. Should the account become delinquent, the student may be placed on a waiting list.
A Waiting List will be created for registered applicants beyond the maximum (Refer to “Class Size” listed below). Students with currently enrolled siblings at Red Hill Lutheran School and members of Red Hill Lutheran Church automatically move to the top of the Waiting List. The Registration Fee for applicants on the Waiting List will not be processed until the parent has been notified that his/her child has been placed on the current enrollment list.
With rare exception, the targeted number of students per classroom is as follows:
