Summer Middle School Volunteering & Daycare

6th Graders

This year, we are offering before and after care for 6th grade students who are enrolled in our Middle School Summer Camps and need additional supervision outside of camp hours.

For a base rate of $100, 6th grade students can receive care from RHLS staff before and after their camp sessions, provided they are registered for a Middle School Summer Camp (see Camp Options). During this time, students may occasionally assist support staff, but most importantly, they’ll continue enjoying a fun and engaging summer at RHLS.

7th & 8th Graders

Looking for volunteer opportunities for your 7th or 8th grade student? Need summer care coverage? Consider having your middle schooler apply to be a Summer Leader this year!

For $50 per week from June through August, student leaders serve as Counselors-in-Training, supporting our 1st–5th grade camps. In this role, they help younger campers stay safe, feel included, and have fun while assisting staff with activities and daily transitions.

It’s a great opportunity for middle school students to build leadership skills, serve others, and gain valuable experience. Apply today to become a Summer Leader!

Interested in even more volunteering?

Our VBS Volunteer Week will take place June 8–12, Monday–Friday from 8:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. Volunteers will help guide younger students through Bible lessons, lead energetic recreation games, assist with snacks and crafts, and support worship throughout the week. It’s a wonderful opportunity to serve, grow in faith, and be part of what we truly call the Very Best Week of Summer!
