Operation Christmas Child
Red Hill Lutheran School is blessed to partner with Samaritan’s Purse through Operation Christmas Child, a ministry that shares God’s love with children around the world. Samaritan’s Purse is a global Christian relief organization that provides spiritual and physical aid to those in need, following the example of Jesus Christ by helping victims of poverty, war, natural disasters, and disease.
Through Operation Christmas Child, millions of gift-filled shoeboxes are collected and distributed each year to children in more than 100 countries. Each shoebox is packed with small toys, school supplies, hygiene items, and—most importantly—a message of God’s love and hope.
Every November, our students and families join together to fill and send shoeboxes as part of this meaningful mission. Our Donation Chapel will be held on November 19th, when we will gather and present all the filled shoeboxes, displaying them in front of the altar as we pray for the children who will receive them.
Together, we’re helping share the joy of Christmas and the good news of Jesus Christ—one box at a time.

Our November philanthropy is Operation Christmas Child. This ministry takes packed shoeboxes around the world to deliver Christmas gifts, along with the gospel message, to children in need. Watch this video with your family to learn more.
A cardboard shoebox will be sent home with your student. Please follow the directions on the box to fill it with gifts for a child. Pack your box full of quality toys, school supplies, and personal care items. This box will become a tangible expression of God's immense love for a child who may have never received a gift before! Our school and church goal is to pack 1000 shoeboxes! You can pack boxes and bring them in on or before Wednesday, November 19th. If you would like to pack more than one box, we have extras in the office, or you can use your own box from home. There is also the option to virtually pack a box through the Operation Christmas Child goal page. We will dedicate all the boxes in our Thanksgiving Chapel on November 19th!
