Colette Hammer

Mrs. Hammer has been a beloved part of Red Hill Lutheran School since 2002 and feels truly blessed to have a career that she deeply enjoys. As a certified GATE teacher, she is passionate about helping every student succeed and grow, both academically and spiritually. She believes strongly in the value of a Christian education as a way to encourage not only knowledge but also moral character and faith development. Her classroom is a place where students are challenged, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential.

Known for her creativity and enthusiasm, Mrs. Hammer loves a good dress-up day and always goes all out—especially when teaming up with her fellow teacher, Mrs. D. Outside of school, she recently welcomed a lovable basset hound named Flapjack into her family, who now happily takes up much of her home life. A true animal lover, she has a heart for all creatures great and small (with the one exception of cockroaches!).

Mrs. Hammer’s mix of dedication, fun, and care makes her an important and cherished part of the Red Hill Lutheran community, and she delights in guiding her students as they grow in both knowledge and faith.

God has shaped me to serve with a joyful heart. I love finding the whimsical, unexpected moments in life and in learning. I use humor to connect with my students, often laughing at myself to show them it’s okay to make mistakes. I never take myself too seriously—I love being silly, having fun, and creating a classroom where laughter is part of learning.
