(Optional) Disease Outbreak Extra Credit Poster
For this assignment, you must make a poster highlighting a disease outbreak that occurred at some point in history. Your focus will be on the impact that this disease outbreak had on the impacted community. As it is an extra credit assignment, there is no formal assignment or guideline, but here are some things to consider adding to maximize the points you may earn:
- What was the disease and the pathogen?
- What was the lasting impact of this outbreak? Did it change how we handle sanitation and health? Did it lead to the creation of any vaccines or medications?
- What caused the outbreak? How long did it last before it was under control?
- What are the symptoms for people who catch this disease? How contagious was it?
