RHLS Tutoring Policy

Red Hill Lutheran School recognizes that to provide a thorough system of education for each child it may require additional support for some students beyond the regular school day. Tutorial instruction shall be interpreted to mean individualized instruction additional to, and in support of, regular classroom instruction. Teachers/Staff shall not tutor any pupil for pay during regular teaching hours.
 
In order to accomplish this, there are teachers/staff available to assist students before and after school. The office can assist with placement. Parents and the individual tutor are to communicate with each other as to the days and the times that a student is going to come in for tutoring and the material that will be covered.
  • Regular attendance is expected and necessary for tutoring to benefit any child. Students with excessive absences can lose their designated time.
  • Session cancellations should be made directly with the tutor as soon as possible, and at least 24 hours in advance in order to not incur a charge. Same day cancellations and no-shows will be charged the normal daily rate by the tutor. 
  • Showing up on time provides the best experience for all. Neither session end time nor fee will be adjusted for late arrival.

Tutoring services are $70 per hour ($35 for 30 minutes). Parents will Prepay all services on the Family FACTS portal. Please contact the school office for more information regarding tutoring, [email protected] or 714-544-3132 ext 117.
